Register Your Child for These Programs and Activities
We offer several programs to cater to the needs and interests of children at times that are convenient for parents.
-
Day Care
If your busy schedule doesn't allow you to stay with your child before and after school, Sussex County YMCA can help. We provide before and after-school programs for children in kindergarten through eighth grade. Our highly-trained team can even help with homework!
-
Summer Camp
Keep your child from getting bored over the summer with one of our fun-filled camps. Our day camps promote fitness, confidence, and skill development. Sports summer camps are open to children entering grades 3 through 7. Kids basketball, tennis, and soccer are all available, among others.
-
Birthday Parties
Does your child have a birthday coming up? Celebrate with the YMCA! We offer pool parties, dance parties, sports parties, or a combination thereof. Sussex County YMCA party packages come with two hours of fun, along with a party supervisor for parents' peace of mind.
-
Youth Sports
At the YMCA, we offer numerous youth sports programs for ages 2 all the way to 18. Younger children can participate in kids' basketball, soccer, T-ball, and karate. Our older participants get to choose from tennis, personal training, teen coaching, and more.
Maintain Your Health and Wellness at the YMCA
Few things are more important than your health. The Sussex County YMCA is here to help you keep your health and wellness goals on track. We provide several resources to get you started:
-
Adult Sports & Recreation
We’re proud to provide several recreational programs in which adults can participate. Our patrons over the age of 18 are welcome to join co-ed volleyball, pickleball, or flag football. Some of these programs are offered nights and weekends for your convenience.
-
Group Classes
If team sports aren't your speed, consider one of our group exercise classes for adults. We offer over a dozen options, including favorites like Zumba® and Pilates, as well as less common classes such as vinyasa yoga. If your interests lie more with nutrition, we also provide lectures and counseling in that area.
-
Personal Training
It's much easier to keep up an exercise regimen when you have someone to hold you accountable. What better way to get that support than with a personal trainer? You may schedule one, two, or three sessions per week to work on exercise techniques, weight loss, and more.
-
Healthy Lifestyles
At the end of the day, staying healthy takes more than just frequent exercise. The YMCA strives to provide resources for every aspect of wellness. Additional programs focus on nutrition, diabetes prevention, water safety, and more.
Learn to Swim and Stay Safe Around Water
Swimming is an essential skill that everyone should know. If you're looking for programs for your child or yourself, look no further than the Sussex County YMCA. We offer the following programs related to swimming and aquatics:
