The Y requires most families that receive 50% Y financial assistance for child care and camp to also apply for state child care subsidy in order to receive Y financial assistance for child care and camp. In ALL cases where state subsidy is awarded, the family’s co-pay responsibility is reduced at a level much greater than the Y can provide.
