The Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges is a mission-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that depends on the generosity of its supporters to continue providing quality programs for the children, families and adults we serve.

It is our goal to ensure that no one is ever turned away from a Y program because they could not afford to participate.  We accomplish this through our Annual Strong Kids Campaign, our Kids’ Care Club Golf Tournament and other fund raising campaigns.

Strong Kids Campaign

Last year, the Metro YMCAs of the Oranges provided over $500,000 in financial assistance through the Strong Kids Campaign to ensure that no one was turned away from participating in our YMCA programs.  Although the vast majority of our recipients are kids who come to us for child care, camps and after-school programs, we also provide assistance to adults and seniors for programs that contribute to their overall health and well-being.  Your contribution to the Strong Kids Campaign will go directly to provide financial assistance and program support for deserving children or families so they may access the programs they need.

You can help…

  • Provide quality child care for parents who must work to meet basic needs…
  • Enroll a teen in a program so they have a safe place to spend their after-school hours…
  • Provide physical therapeutic activities to a senior who would otherwise be housebound…
  • Send an urban child to a sleep-away camp for hiking, sailing and swimming…
  • And much more!
