Strong Kids Campaign - As a non-profit, charitable organization we depend on our Annual Support Campaign to raise funds for our Financial Assistance Program to help those who otherwise could not afford to participate in our summer camp program.  Some of the funds are also used to purchase much needed program equipment.  The need for this assistance continues to grow each year.

Volunteering - Whether teaching one of our activities, assisting our program instructors, or serving as a member of our Board of Managers, there are many ways for you to use your talent and time to enrich the lives of children and families in our community. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, you may call Fairview Lake YMCA at 973-383-9282.

Vehicle Donations - Fairview Lake YMCA has a partnership with Vehicle Management Services.  Call them toll free at 1-888-395-3955, Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 5:00.  They will pick up any vehicle, in running condition or not, and the proceeds benefit our Campership Fund.  VMS will process all necessary documents and make all arrangements including pick up, sale, and distribution of proceeds to Camp.  You will receive an acknowledgement of your gift and a copy of a page from the NADA appraisal guide appropriate to your vehicle, which you can use to deduct your gift from federal income taxes.

World Series of Birding - The “Fairview Flock”, our birding team that participates in the New Jersey Audubon’s Annual World Series of Birding, is always looking for sponsors.  The event is a twenty-four hour marathon in May in which veteran birders travel from the top of New Jersey to its southernmost tip to assist in cataloging birds during the migration  season.  Each group of birders raises money for bird conservation or educational charities.  Last year the fifty teams raised a collective total of $400,000.  The money our team raises helps us start new programs.  In the past, we have purchased our portable planitarium, a pontoon boat for lake limnology, and equipment for a birding program.
